A gravel pit of around 7 acres situated south of Harefield village. The lake has an irregular shape and three islands. The depth varies along its length of the lake and is deeper at the northern end.

The lake has a good head of most coarse species but is noted for good Tench fishing with fish to 7-10, along with a good head of Roach and Rudd. There are shoals of Bream of 10-2 plus along with Pike to 26lbs.

The lake was stocked with Chub in 1985. In 1997 we stocked the lake 929 Crucian carp, 735 Roach, 868 Bream all around 8-10 inches in length, 127 Tench of 10 inches and 150 Carp 2-3lb in weight, the latter were reaching 32-2 the 2007 season.

In 1998 a further 2,400 Carp were stocked between 6-8 inches. In 2004 the lake was stocked with approx 150 bream between 4 & 5lbs from Rowley. In 2006 a further 300 Carp between 1 & 3lbs were introduced. August 2006 saw 300 Tench between 6 & 8 inches and 100 Tench between 10 & 12 inches stocked. Perch are on order and will be stocked during Autumn 2006. 27th February 2008 saw 450lb of Carp 2-5lb and 135 Tench to 10" were introduced. The 4th June 2008 saw the a further 217 Tench stocked to 10". There will be further stockings over the following seasons.
