Harefield No1 is a gravel pit of 7 acres situated south of Harefield. The lake has an irregular shape and three islands. The depth varies along its length and is deeper at the northern end. The lake has a good head of fish but is noted for its Tench to 7-8, along with a good head of Roach and Rudd. There are lots of Bream to 10-8 plus Pike to 26lbs. In 1997 we stocked the lake 929 Crucians, 735 Roach, 868 Bream all around 8-10 inches in length, 127 Tench of 10 inches and 150 Carp 2-3lb in weight, the latter were reached 29-8 in the 2006. In 1998 a further 2,400 Carp were stocked between 6-8 inches. In 2004 the lake was stocked with approx 150 bream between 4-5lbs. In 2006 300 Carp between 1 & 3lbs were introduced. August 2006 saw 300 Tench 6-8" and 100 Tench between 10-12" stocked. Perch are on order and there will be further stockings. For the general angler this lake is a must.

Harefield No2 is a 12 foot deep, 50 acre gravel pit close to No1 which has been stocked many times since 1963 when 100 large Carp were introduced. In the early eighties more Carp were stocked to 5lb. In 1988 a large number of Pike to 18lb were stocked followed by another 1,800 x 12oz Carp and 200 x 18oz Bream during 1989. In 1992/1993 250 1-3lb & 100 2-4lb Carp were introduced. Many of these carp are now within the 25-35lbs with some over 40. It is also brimming with double figure Bream. The winter pike fishing is also spectacular. The lake is our specimen water and the majority of the lake can be fished from the comfort of your car with its secure vehicular access. Best Carp 42-0, Tench 8-14, Bream 12-12, Perch 4-0, Eels 5-13, Pike 29-0, Chub 5-12 and large shoals of Roach to 2-0. The lake is shared with a sailing club, with which we have a good relationship and requires give and take on both sides, so lets keep it that way.

Rowley is the HAS jewel in the crown, this beautiful man made 4 1/2 acre estate lake is surrounded by willows, silver birch, alders and oak. It has lily beds and is fringed with rushes and supports an abundance of wildlife. In 1988, 1991, 2005 and 2007 the lake was restocked, the lake now holds a good stock of Roach and Perch, Tench, Crucian Carp, Bream, and Carp. A peaceful and tranquil place, wonderful for getting away from the pressures for a while.
